Mt. Oni-no-Hana

Mt. Oni-no-Hana Oni-no-Hana Mountain (literally "Demon's Nose Mountain") is introduced in "Hizen Fudoki" as "Otome Mountain". It is a lush parkland spreading out at 435 meters above sea level. From the lookout at the summit it is possible to take in views of Taku city, Ariake Sea and even Taradake and Unzendake in the distance. Here exists many ancient relics. This spot also provides facilities which will leave outdoor enthusiasts greatly satisfied and serves as a haven for local residents.

[Oni-no-Hana Mountain Forest Haven]
The artificial grass ski area is the real deal at 10 meters wide and 60 meters long.
Sleds are available to rent so please feel free to do so. There is a common open space and a slide, making this a hugely popular spot amongst young people and families.

 


● Access:
From train station: 20-minute taxi ride from Taku Station on the JR Karatsu Line
Car: 25-minute drive from Nagasaki Expressway Taku IC
Bus: Get Showa Bus bound for Takeo at Taku Bus Terminal (in front of Taku Station), get off at “Hontaku” stop, and walk for 60 minutes


● Parking Lot: Accommodates 50 cars (free of charge)
