Mitsuse Donguri Mura is a theme park where visitors can get close to both nature and animals. The park is modeled after a rural village in the South of France. In actual fact, the village of Mitsuse in Saga city has a sister city relationship with Cussac Village located in the Bordeaux region of France. The first sight to greet visitors as they walk through the main entrance is a wine exhibition hall where they can learn about wine making in detail. The hall is lined with wines sent directly from Cussac. For 300 yen a glass, visitors can try the wine of their choice from the 10 types available. Wine as a souvenir is also popular. Further inside the facility is a milk plant which makes delicious ice-cream. There is also a rest area where visitors can savor the fresh milk obtained at the milk plant. Moreover, there are plenty of places for children to play. The wide grassy area features a range of play equipment. A 160-meter long roller slider and athletics facility, road train, tinny tot carts, archery and many more fun activities await. At the farm, visitors can also try horse riding and get very close to the animals. The milking experience should not be forgotten. Try your luck in the cowshed. For those who work up an appetite, a menu featuring dishes made with the local Mitsuse chicken is worth checking out at the "Chez Nous" restaurant.
