The "History and Culture Forest Park" was the 123,000 ? m2 venue for the 1996 World Ceramics Exposition and is appreciated by locals and tourists alike as being a place to relax. The symbolic Memorial Hall has a cultural hall and a conventional hall, and houses significant international art and culture events. This grand Baroque style building with its dome roof is eye-catching. Outside is a posthumous monument created by the artist Taro Okamoto.
