Roadside Station "Imari Furusato Mura"

Roadside Station 'Imari Furusato Mura' Imari Furusato Village is a roadside station along National Route 202 where visitors can fully savor the attractive produce of Imari, starting with grilled food and fruits. First let's take a look at the workshop utilizing regional resources and the experience center. Here visitors can watch a demonstration of Tesuki Washi being made, or try making it for themselves. This activity is also becoming popular for offering Raku-yaki classes, use of a potter's wheel and other experiences that only the home of pottery could. Moreover, for around one month starting late August visitors can enjoy pear and grape picking. Then there is Imari Beef, which is not be missed when visiting Imari. The flavorsome Imari Beef, which has been rewarded first prize by the National Society of Meat, is indeed a delicacy. Furusato Village also has a restaurant where you can taste Imari Beef to your heart's content. This gourmet-style beef also makes a pleasing gift. For those keen on picking up some flagship Imari goods as souvenirs, head to the souvenir shop. Here you will find pear wine, with a texture unique to the region, seasonal fruit, local processed agricultural products and meats.

From train station: 15-minute taxi ride from Imari Station on the JR Chikuhi Line and MR Matsuura Line
Car: 40-minute drive from Nagasaki Expressway Takeo-Kitagata IC
Bus: Get on Showa Bus bound for Karatsu at Imari Station on the JR Chikuhi Line and MR Matsuura Line, get off at Ideno stop, and walk for a minute
