Roadside stops are places where anyone can casually stop in for a break and a chat.
Apart from providing a place to park in order to take a break, roadside stops are multifunctional rest facilities which provide information on the particular area's culture, history, nature, places of interest, local specialties and more. Kaze-no-Furusatokan is a roadside stop along National Route 203 located between Saga and Karatsu city and provides a place to obtain traffic information as well as purchase or dine on inexpensive fresh local vegetables, foods from the mountain and sea, etc.
