Taratakezaki Onsen is a hot spring consisting of sodium hydrogen carbonate which will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. This hot spring has a temperature of 45.5 degrees C. and produces 346 tones of water each day. The water is clear and slightly salty. Bathing in this onsen is said to be effective on nerve pain, stiff shoulders, chronic digestive organ pain, poor circulation, fatigue and so on. Drinking the water is said to be beneficial for gout, diabetes and liver ailments. Currently, there are nine accommodation facilities with hot springs in Tara town. The area is particularly buzzing with tourists on the weekends, lured by the luxury of dining on seafood from the Ariake Sea, represented by Tara's specialty, Takezaki crab, after leisurely soaking in the hot tub.● Access:
