The Giant Rhododendron of Shiki comprises of three bushes said to be over 200 years old (planted during the Kansei Period) which are approximately five meters high, with a branch span of approximately three to five meters, as well as 20 bushes planted around 40 years ago. The best time to view these flowers is mid-April and the dainty pink flowers are bound to evoke a gasp of admiration from onlookers.
